Konami was on a roll in the early 90s with licensed games, and The Adventures of Batman and Robin is probably the company at its best. Lovely animation that captures the look and feel of the show's art deco style, and an amazing score that blends Shirley Walker's theme with newly composed music that fits like a glove. Best was the gameplay, that actually let you do all the things you expect Batman to do, without ever being cumbersome or gimmicky. And you even had to solve minor puzzles and utilize gadgets!

It's much easier to get licensed games right these days, though few companies still do. And though Ubisoft did an admirable job on Vengeance and Sin Tzu, this is still the definitive animated Batman game for me. If you love the animated series, your collection isn't complete without this game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sorry. No Robin., December 25, 2002
This review is from: The Adventures of Batman and Robin (Video Game)
Now where were we? Oh yeah, I just finished (sort of) reviewing the Genesis version. It's no surprise Konami made most of their non-sports titles different for every system in those days.
You can't play as Robin, okay? The game was originally going to be called Batman: The Animated Series, but the game's title changed with the show. I don't remember where Robin fits in, but I think he was kidnapped by Harley Quinn and The Joker. The SNES version is much slower than the Genesis', but that's not really a bad thing; it gives you time to think, which is actually required here. You start in the streets of Gotham city, into an amusement park, through Poison Ivy's forest, and . . . that's as far as I . . .
