A good game based on the great show,

This is one of Batman's best games out there, and for fans, can't be missed. Graphics are nice, the music is decent, and the story does the cartoon justice. It's too bad the gameplay is only average; it gets old kind of fast and could have used improvement.

The best Batman game ever!,

This is without a doubt the best Batman game ever. Based on the kick [rear] animated series players can choose either Batman or Robin. There are 4 main bosses in all The Joker, Two-Face, The Mad Hatter. You also fight Harley Quinn. The graphics are great and very similar to the style of the show. It is a sidescroll and you pick up powers ups on the way which upgrade your weapons. The game is incredibly difficult but great fun with some good music (for the best music on a genesis game ever check out the original Batman game based on the first movie). You play either on the street or in gliders of some sort. Overall a top quailty game worth getting for Batman fans or Genesis fans.

I've had this game for many years and it doesn't get old! The graphics are great on the Genesis and there is a load of different environments to fight in. There is even a level where you fly above the city in attack hang gliders. I would definitely pick up this game if your a Batman fan or love the old Genesis games, a must have for any serious gamer! :-)

I haven't even technically gotten past level 1 yet! The game is very difficult. After a lot of game overs, I finally beat Harley Quinn for the first time, only to have to go through more goons and Harley 2 more times. Then I got to an impossible level just to get up to the Joker, and he was practically impossible! It's great fun, especially if you are a big Batman fan, and is certainly a challenge (even for experienced gamers)!

I got this game today and I started playing with my brother and it gets really crazy...we haven't even passed the first level yet because of the vast amount of thugs and the boss at the end. Yes it is a hard game but it takes practice and with all the mayhem going on it basically makes you want more and more. The gadgets are pretty cool..still have to figure out what most of them are since the game I got doesn't come with a manual. The only real downside to this game is that when you're against the boss after a stage and you lose 3 of your lives you can't continue to fight and help your partner till after the boss is killed. You basically have to wait till the next level to come back into the game. And if both of you lose 3 lives its basically game over and you have to start over...I'm not sure if you have to start at the first level again or just at the beginning of whatever level you're at cause I haven't gotten that far yet...anyway this is getting confusing. Good game, great challenge. Word.

This isn't the best Batman licensed game ever made, but it's a very unique one. It's based on the award-winning animated series from the mid 90's, and pits Batman and Robin against foes like Joker and the Mad Hatter.
The art style will be very familiar to fans of the series, though the pounding techno beats are something new. The game doesn't really play like Batman, it's more like Contra with super-powered batarangs instead of guns. It's also very challenging, and gamers will have to practice, practice, practice to get through all the levels. As a game that tries to make you feel like Batman, this one comes up short. But as a fast-paced action title with solid gameplay that has Batman slapped onto it, this one's a fun time.

If you think a super hero game can never be too fast-pased, this could change your mind. Enemies come at you from every corner throughout the entire game, constantly trying to take you under. You'd swear you were in Detroit. If you want a slower-paced game based on the animated series, try the SNES version. It doesn't let you play as Robin, but it has more depth and . . . wait a minute!! I'm not reviewing the SNES version!!! As either Batman or Robin, you throw various weapons at your enemies as you keep scrolling to the right and trying not to get killed. |
