5.0 out of 5 stars a seminal work for incognito, August 17, 2004

without doubt, this is the zenith work in their catalog. i have been following this group since the release of "inside life" and even took a step back in time to acquire the "jazz funk" cd. i received the japanese import of this cd a week after its release in that country and this is a cd that belongs in everyone's collection. they have hit the bull's eye with their ability to capture that late 60's, early 70's vibe from EW&F, roy ayers, donald byrd, issac hayes, etc. maysa is back doing vocals as well as imaani who you may remember from work with paul hardcastle. hit shuffle and try to find the best track. you won't be able to. all meat. no potato.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cog's are Back!!, September 20, 2004

Oh how I love this group and their unmistakeable sound! I couldn't wait for the new release to come out. Browsing thru the CD rack @ Circuit City in Culver City, Ca, I was shocked to see that they had Adventures in Black Sunshine. So shocked, I screamed in the store! The folks in there looked at me like I was crazy, but if they only knew! It's tough to find Incognito's recordings in Southern Ca. Well needless to say, I love the cd! Hearing Maysa and Bluey together again is so wonderful. I loved the last album, "Who Needs Love", but I did miss that "Maysa" sound. This is REAL music indeed. Keep up the excellent work Bluey, and keep sending those powerful, meaningful messages in your music.

Adventures in Black Sunshine why isn't this group selling Millions? this is way better than most of the stuff the Record Companies are jammin' our airwaves with...Bluey & Maysa once again are doing their thing. 14 prime killer cuts no filler just good ol'70's style Jazz Funk R&B Music from one of the best group out today Incognito. "The 25th Chapter" and "Mindin' My Business" is mind blowin'"True to Myself" is beautiful. buy this cd if you love good music I bet you will not be disappointed.....
