Adventures in Creating Earrings,
By A Customer
This review is from: Adventures in Creating Earrings (Paperback)
This book is reasonably suited to beginners. The instructions for the techniques are fairly precise and accompanied with good illustrations, with one exception. I found the section on the peyote stitch skimpy. A beginner would be well advised to seek another book to learn this technique. However, this book does have sections on working with raffia and porcupine quills, which I haven't seen covered in many other books. Many of the completed projects are shown in the photographic plates in the middle of the book. There are many other books for beginners which I think would be better, if you have no experience at all, notably the one I learned from, Techniques of Beaded Earrings by Deon Delange.

This is a great book with lots of unique ideas. I like the book because it's not run-of-the-mill seed bead only patterns. These pretty earrings include bugle beads and other things that allow you to dress them up to suit the occasion. A good book, clear directions.
