My husband rented this from our local library for our 3 boys, himself, and his dad to listen to on their way to fish camp this summer. They loved it so much that we decided to get our own copy. Excellently read! Very enjoyable. Every boy (and girl) would love it!

Patrick Fraley's reading of Huck Finn absolutely brings this novel to life in ways that my own imagination could not. I used this, and his reading of Tom Sawyer, in my classroom -- My students loved it. On each CD, it says clearly which chapter is being read, which makes it much easier to find one's place.

It's difficult to review the recording without also reviewing the novel, which of course is probably the greatest piece of American literature ever ... but as voice recordings of this go, Fraley's is the best, and you cannot go wrong.

I teach students who have reading comprehension and writing challenges. This was such a good tool for them. We followed along in the book. Sometimes we read a chapter taking turns, other times they listened and followed along. They really enjoyed the different voices of the readers on the CD.

I used this dvd in my classroom to teach Huck Finn. The reader does a fantastic job with all the dialects and voices for the many characters in the novel. Part of the fun in reading this, and difficulty in teaching it, is capturing the voice of the times in American history which is finely done through the reading. Well worth the purchase. Easy to navigate through chapters.
