5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent volume for perspective on Huck, May 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Case Studies in Contemporary Criticism) (Paperback)
An excellent volume with definitive text and 18 essays on Huckleberry's story. Very helpful in looking at both sides of the issue of racism in the novel. Racism in the novel is a reason the book should be read by high school studens and taught in American Literature classes. Decide whether the author does or does not encourage racism; whether the author does or does not find racism hideous. Dr. Gerald Graff has provided a valuable literary service.
