Book Description

The Adventures of Margaret Mouse
In the second book of "The Adventures of Margaret Mouse - The Picnic", a sudden summer storm is the cause of Margaret being swept downstream in the swirling waters. You'll meet the happiest bird anywhere in "Cherry Chickadee", and "Rembrandt, the 'oh so French' writing spider who has a hearing problem, among many other diverse creatures in and around the barnyard. This edge of your seat story will have kids wide eyed. Who will save Margaret from the churning water before she is swept over the falls?? Her unlikely hero results in a very good universal moral for all children.

About the Author

Cherokee Wyatt was raised as a young girl in the mountains of Tennesse, in true "hillbilly" style without running water, indoor plumbing, TV or telephones. She wrote these stories as a reflection of her childhood which she says is a fond rememberance even though she was considered very poor.

She has written six of the Margaret Mouse books in the series of ten, has had poetry published, and is currently writing the story of her childhood to be published as "Trisha". She also is ghostwriting her husband's adult action/adventure.

Her quest with the Margaret Mouse books is to reach out to the children of the world to let them know that they all are special and that they all have worth.

The new series of books about Margaret Mouse are simply the best I've seen for children in many years!! They are exciting for my children who cannot read and they absolutely love the idea that a little mouse who is basically ugly can be so pure of heart. We're taking Margaret's motto, "Pretty is as Pretty does" for our own!! Kudos to Cherokee Wyatt for bringing Margaret to life. We can't wait for the other adventures to become available!
