Wonderful 3rd book in the Max and Pinky series,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Adventures of Max and Pinky: The Mystery (Hardcover)
A wonderful who-done-it for Max and Pinky's third adventure. They work hard to paint their barn (with plenty of commentary from the animals on the farm). But every time they paint it, they return in the morning to find it repainted plaid or pink. What's the deal? Max and Pinky take matters into their own hands (hilariously of course) and investigate. But it's only after creating an intricate "barn alarm" that the mysterious barn painter is caught.
Like the first two Max and Pinky books (Best Buds, Superheroes), this book is ends with a message of not taking life's little hiccups and idiosyncrasies personally and learning to see the humor in a situation instead of getting frustrated. And it's done with wonderful fun and plenty of laughs! Fantastic series for your young ones. I highly recommend!

Very fun, for parents and kids. The whole series is worth buying - we've read them a hundred times already.

This is the third book in the Max and Pinky series I've purchased from Amazon for my kids. I have to admit, I breathe a sigh of relief when they pull one of the Max and Pinky books out. They are hilarious, even for us grownups. We bought the first book when they were 3 and they still enjoy them now that they're 5. The story and illustrations are great. In this book, my kids think the funniest part is the groundhog that keeps getting painted, while Max and Pinky are painting the barn.
All I can say is pick all three books up. It's a good investment and you and your kids will never grow tired of reading them. Oh and why does Max get stuck in something in every book?!

A sweet story of two zany characters,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Adventures of Max and Pinky: The Mystery (Hardcover)
Maxwell Eaton III's THE MYSTERY provides another adventure story of Max, a little roundheaded boy, and his pig Pinky, best buddies seeking adventure. Here the two have painted the barn a classic shade of red - but the next morning, it's turned pink. Another coat and another morning reveal it to be plaid. What's happening? A sweet story of two zany characters evolves.
