5.0 out of 5 stars Lets Get Season 3 going on DVD!
All fans of this show do me a favor. Vote for this review. I ask this not for me, but for the hopeful release of Season 3 on DVD. Something I read is if there are alot of reviews written and several receive lots of votes, the show follows on DVD even if only through some sort of medium like Amazon.Com. I read this happened with "Journey to the Center of the Earth", "The...

2.0 out of 5 stars Does Anyone Else Have This Problem???
I love the show and bought the second season as soon as it came out on DVD. Alas, just like with the first season, this set was flawed and thus I can't give it a better score. Season One had the problem with "Day of the Dot" and Season Two has a problem with the bonus episode on disc 2. "Space, Geeks, and Johnny Unitas" has a major problem with the audio that distracts...

Something I read is if there are alot of reviews written and several receive lots of votes, the show follows on DVD even if only through some sort of medium like Amazon.Com. I read this happened with "Journey to the Center of the Earth", "The Enemy Below", and "Shoot to Kill" movies. Get your friends to vote too. If we arouse enough interest at this review page we may see results-I mean I even saw that the DVD was produced with printed art however it was put on hold. Amazon may notice and inform the studios too. It is starting to work they will create a link on Amazon and start to ask for your e-mail address if it is getting interest. Lets make this happen!

I used to work at this TV station in Gainesville. On Sundays, crawling to my (volunteer) job after endless nights of debauchery, I would sit and insert tapes of the MacNeil Lehrer Report for whoever happened to be up watching the local university channel at 6 through 12 on Sunday morning. I can tell you I was probably the only student in the whole town awake at that time. Case in point: many, many were the times I fell asleep and missed my cues by 15 minutes or more. No one called. No one wrote.

Anyway, I had a lot of time on my hands. I watched Pete and Pete and Rocco's Modern Life. When your children are of age, make them watch these shows. The kind of kids you want don't need to watch reality TV or play with realistic superhero dolls. They need to watch Artie. They need to see what Iggy Pop looks like dressed up. They need to see Michael Stipe hand a kid ice cream. And don't get me started on Deborah Harry and Juliana Hatfield. They need to learn that the point of Barbecue ribs is to get a little messy.

Every so often, you run into a Pete and Pete fan. Cherish those moments. Share your Petunia tats with your most beloved friends. Strike a strongest man in the world pose and be good to your little Vikings. I think it's safe to say the world needs it quite badly.

Nickelodeon SUCKS! How dare they only give us seasons 1 and 2 only. Season 3 was due out March 2006 and got canceled. That is a real d--- faced move. Nick, you suck. Give us the rest of the series. I'm sofa king mad at Nick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where is season 3!?!?!?!, January 20, 2009

This review is from: The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 2 (DVD)
If you're on this product page, you must be a fan of classic Nickelodean's all-time BEST show, the adventures of pete and pete. Words can't describe how amazingly creative, hilarious, and deeply touching this masterpiece of a tv series really was. If only the scumbags releasing these DVDs would put out the 3rd season, all would be well with the cosmos. The torment of being unable to access the 3rd season feels like an episode of this show in itself. Nevertheless, buy the existing DVDs while you can - it's the greatest live action show ever (along with Richard Boone's Paladin and the Adventures of Briscoe County Jr.)

The Adventures of Pete and Pete are incredibly fun and funny. The plots are absurdist but in a very entertaining way. Its the world through the eyes of children and then twisted a few more degrees to really make you think "how did they think of that!"

If you enjoy clever humor and stories TAoPaP are for you! If you enjoyed childhood but recognized you were a little different then TAoPaP is for you!

Farewell all my little Vikings!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 Cheers for Grade A Nostalgia, September 26, 2005
This review is from: The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 2 (DVD)
When I think of Pete and Pete, I think of my childhood. Not just my childhood, but the best parts of my childhood. The show was almost a friend to my brother and I (my brother is seven years older than me) and yet we still found it funny, for different reasons. Pete and Pete has that effect on people, nobody is free from its hilarity. The poignance of growing up in a suburban town, and the nuances that mark the characters' everyday life, in this show at least, almost brings a tear to my eye when I realize how much I've missed this show. Nicekoldeon made a futile attempt at showing it on noggin the past years, but took it off, even though die-hard fans like me where staying up to tape the episodes at 2 oclock in the morning. Finally, our childhood has come to DVD, a long wait, yet I am glad it is finally available to us- the fans of one of the greatest Nickelodeon shows- nay, one of the greatest shows period on Television- The Adventures of Pete and Pete.
