4.0 out of 5 stars My 7 year old loved it!
My son saw the book in the table when I received the shipment and he immediately picked it up and started reading this "adventure" and was impressed that this plastic bottle became a swearter. I will use it when teaching recycling in schools because it is an engaging story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ordered the paper back version, and was not impressed
The paper back version is not made very well. It could very easily be torn. I am not sure if the hardback is any better, or worth it. The book did not look to exciting, my son had no desire to read the book. I ended up giving it to his school, but I do not believe anyone there has read it also. It looks better on amazon than it actually is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable and Informative!, March 5, 2010
This review is from: The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle: A Story About Recycling (Little Green Books) (Paperback)
My four-year old son loves this book. Not only does it have cute pictures, but it is very informative. I learned a lot I did not know as an adult. My son asked to read it on 2 consecutive nights. He thought it was neat when we found out that his hand-tied synthetic fleece blankets were made from crude oil... as was the plastic bottle in the story. And, true to the theme, the book is made from 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper - yeah!

5.0 out of 5 stars Recycling, July 8, 2010

Wonderful book about where a plastic bottle comes from, but only tells the reader where it goes if you recycle it, not if it is thrown away. I think kids should see both sides.

I love that this story is written form the perspective of the oil/plastic bottle. The illustrations draw you in. My 4-year old likes this book.

The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle is definitely a cute story for a younger child, but I think an older child might quickly become bored after reading it once. My kids (ages 2 & 4) think it's pretty neat to read about the life of a plastic bottle but they are also really into all things factory and trucks at this age. The art is really great and the story is nice, but older kids might outgrow it too quickly!

4.0 out of 5 stars Process of recycling, March 21, 2010

This book explains how plastics can be recycled to make other items. I have yet to read this book to a group of preschool children, but after reviewing the book I think with some explanation and props preschoolers could understand the process. This book would be completely understandable to kindergarten and first graders.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book, May 2, 2009
This review is from: The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle: A Story About Recycling (Little Green Books) (Paperback)
This book is going to be a great resource when I share it with students at school. It's important for them to know about the recycling process, and this book will be very helpful toward that end.
