5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular!, December 13, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle Vol. 1: Mona Moose [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Ya gotta love Rocky and Bullwinkle! In Volume 1, Rocky and Bullwinkle try to stop Boris and Natasha from getting the treasure of Monte Zoom. In Fractured Fairy Tales, the Wolf tries to stop eating Ridding Hoods cold turkey. Mr. Peabody finds Robinson Crusoe not as alone as he would like. Dudley Do-Right goes under cover. Wonderful volume!

I have the complete set and can't recommend it enough. These are too good to pass up for any fan of the show.

This one contains The Treasure of Monte Zoom, with more puns than you can shake a stick at. That alone is worth the price, but it wouldn't be the same without the shorts breaking up the episodes. There's Fractured Fairy Tales doing Little Red Riding Hood, Poetry time on Bullwinkle's Corner, Mr. Peabody and Sherman visit Robin Crusoe, and Dudley goes undercover to catch Snidely.

5.0 out of 5 stars They still have it!, July 6, 2000
This review is from: Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle Vol. 1: Mona Moose [VHS] (VHS Tape)
After the advent of great cartoons like Ren & Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life, old cartoons such as Bullwinkle and Rocky were virtually forgotten. However, thanks to the release of their episodes on videotape, the classic exploits of the world's most famous moose and squirrel are once again available. While the humor existed in a period of time before foul humor was popular, The Rocky and Bullwinkle show is able to send viewers into fits of laughter based solely on the merits of their bad puns and insane situations. Some might argue that this is its best commodity, along, of course, with main characters that are as lovable now as ever. Fans of animation cannot escape from their roots, nor deny the absolute brilliance of these early cartoons. In their own way, as it should be, they are timeless.

What else can be said? Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ta-daa!, July 20, 2000

This volume was hysterical..Bullwinkle and Rocky have fun with the old cliche.."the heros arrive in -ta daaa- the nick of time" and other bad puns sure to make you roll your eyes and chuckle. Also contains Fractured Fairy Tales where the wolf has pledged not to eat Little Red Riding Hood. And despite his seemingly dastardly deeds, Dudley Do-Right can't even be kicked out of the RCMP. This is a great episode to own! You'll watch it again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Now you can watch when you want, August 12, 2000
This review is from: Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle Vol. 1: Mona Moose [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The adventures of Rocket J. Squirrel come and go on the TV. But if you have them on tape you can watch them any time. Your friends and neighbors will prefer these to watching your vacation films.
Unlike the movies Dudley Do-Right (1999) ASIN: B00004RFB2, you will find that Nell has an unnatural attraction to Dudley's horse. Or she just prefers intelligence.
An outstanding part of this series is the narrator, William Conrad who was the original Marshall Matt Dillon on the "Gunsmoke" radio show.
This film contains:
The Treasure of Monte Zoom!
Fractured Fairytales (Little Red Riding Hood!)
Bullwinkle's Corner
Mr. Peabody & Sherman (Visit Robinson Crusoe)
Mr. Know-It All
Dudley Do-Right (Goes Undercover)

Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle Vol. 2: Birth of Bullwinkle [VHS]
