Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is just plain fun. While this Sonic and Tails tag-along might have you cringing at a few cheesy lines here and there, it's a funny, fast-moving classic that packs a lot of nostalgic punch for those of us who grew up watching it in the 90's. Not only that, it's loaded with old-school Sonic spirit. It's great to see this classic piece of Sonic history coming to DVD!

I love this series and have been patiently awaiting a release on DVD; however, I was shocked when I finally received it and found it wasn't the complete series. It's not even numbered volume 1 or anything. It was only by reading reviews that I realized that this is the first of a possible three volume series and Shout Factory isn't planning on releasing the other two volumes unless they get good sales from this first one. Bah. Way to drive away the customers, Shout Factory!

The series deserves a five-star rating, hands down. Shout Factory's stinginess on releasing the whole series may kill their sales and thus provoke them to not release the other two volumes. Hard-core fans might have to stick to downloading the rare, low-quality, grainy episodes to get their "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" fix. So overall rating: three stars. Release the rest of the series, Shout Factory!

There are four series of sonic the hedgehog. Adventures of sonic the hedgehog, Sonic Underground, Sonic the Hedgehog and sonic X. I have all four on DVD and I have found this to be the most enjoyable by far! The other one's are too serious for my taste, but this series is more cartoony and has the feel of original writing you don't see as much in the other ones.

Yes!! Finally one of the best Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons is back and out on DVD. This is the cartoon I grew up with back in the early 90's that was worth getting up early to watch or to set your VRC to record. A more light hearted series than it's sat/am cousin, its reminiscent of the old Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons, but with that classic Sonic twist. Joined by his buddy Tails and nemeses Scratch, Grounder and Dr. Robotnik, this was one show that everyone can enjoy, from the newbies to us veteran watchers.

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the many cartoons I grew up watching along with Super Mario Bros., Megaman, Captain N, etc. They just don't make quality cartoons like they used to and I recommend picking up all of these you can get, not only will you enjoy them but even your kids could enjoy them eventually. This is definitely a set to add along with your collection and if enough people buy this set, they might release the rest of the episodes eventually. If you are a big Sonic fan and like humor this set won't let you down!

Many fans of the Saturday morning Sonic cartoon are, in my mind, overly-critical of this syndicated, weekday show. Sure, it was somewhat childish compared to the more serious SatAM show, but that was part of the charm. I don't always want to watch a cartoon that's a serious tour de force; Sometimes I just want to watch a cartoon, and this one is great fun. Sonic and the badniks have a great cat-and-mouse routine going, with a nice sense of humor throughout. I know it's Looney Tuney, but it's fun.

I used to watch this on Television, and it is probably one of those shows that unless you saw while growing up, and liked it, you won't like it now. It's definitely worth it if you're a Sonic fan, if only because it's Sonic...

Very lighthearted compared to SatAM, and was not nearly as well received although it was aired MUCH more. For anyone not quite sure, but thinks they remember.. This is the one where Sonic is obsessed with chili dogs. I always waited for his little life lesson at the end to be something like, "And remember, kids! Chili dogs DO NOT make you run fast!" ... But alas...

This is the show I loved to come home to after school. Time hasn't hurt it too bad at all, and definately recommend it to fans.

I'd like to clear something up: Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (AoSTH) were conceived and aired simultaneously. At the end of the second season of SatAM, it was scheduled for a 3rd season, but cancelled in favor of AoSTH.

Though the humor in the show isn't that of a top-rated comedian, it has a childish charm that has the ability to produce a chuckle or two, if only for its lack of coherence. Not only that, but for those who have seen the series before, this DVD will arouse a feeling of nostalgia.

If you loved SatAM, which I did very much, you'll love this one just the same for its nostalgic and simplistic, childish charm.

I knew I would LOVE and enjoy this! Oh, the fond memories of watching this before going to the (mostly cold) bus stop! Eating breakfast and watching this at 6 AM was the best! I still have memories of the episodes or most parts. Although, i'm not entirely sure how many I saw in those years... I've only been through the first disc. But, I definitely remembered the sloths! Ha. For some odd reason, I had a different memory of Sonic's voice. But, that's okay. Tails was always my favorite. I can't wait to save up for the other volumes!
