About the Author
My great love for animals and wildlife inspired me to write children?s books. My own menagerie includes my husband , two kids, my mother, a Great Dane, seven cats, two fish tanks, a toad, two gerbils, and a four and half foot long iguana. Wild life surrounds my background with a variety of bird feeders and feeding stations. Our backyard squirrels are friendly and come to me when called. Many visits are made to my old backyard, which bordered a park. My husband and I go there to visit my first friendly ?pet? squirrel named Suzie. We hand feed her nuts and she eats and buries them one by one. We miss her very much. The illustrator, my husband used his artistic talents in bringing my thoughts to life through his illustrations and creativity. I would like to thank my daughter Valerie and son Mike for their input and time. Also with special thanks to Laurie, Colette, Christel and Donna for their help. I thank you all from the bottom on my heart for helping me in making this book possible.

All of a sudden, there was a loud thunder in the sky. It started getting very cloudy. Nilly thought it was time to go home. They started to run through the woods. The thunder grew louder. They saw a big flash of lighting in the sky. Rain started to pour out of the sky.
They ran over to an old abandoned fort and they went inside. "We'll stay here until the rain stops," said Nilly. "What will we do in here?" asked Willy. "We can sing songs or play a game". "I don't like it in here, I want to go home." Nilly said, "Shhhhhhhhh, wait!" I hear something "I hear it too, what is it?" said Willy.
"Oh, look over there in the corner, it's a litter of kittens!" said Nilly. "One...two...three... four...five!" counted Willy. "Where is the mommy cat?" asked Willy. "I don't know," replied Nilly. "I am going to pick one up," said Willy. "No!" exclaimed Nilly. "First I will have to see if they are friendly." Nilly slowly approached the kittens. Once she got close to them they all ran over to her and started weaving in and out around her shoes. After the kittens all started to rub their little faces on her and were purring loudly, she knew they were friendly.

This is a wonderful book that children will love. Kids who love cats will especially like this sweet story. Beautifully illustrated.

My five year old grand daughter loved the book. The illustrations were unique and kept her interest. She loves animals and I found the story to be well written and informative. The bee sting remedy brought back many memories of my childhood. This book is her favorite and she reads it at least once a week. I have since purchased the book for my two year old grandson. I would recommend this book to all parents, grandparents, teachers and anyone who has children in their life.

I work at a daycare center with children between the ages of 4 and 5 years old. I am always looking for new, exciting books to read to them during story time. When I came across The Advetures of Willy & Nilly, I knew that the children would absolutely love the illustrations throughout the book, and I was right! I would recommend this book to any parent, caregiver, or teacher because it will definitely maintain the childrens' interest as well as your own!!
