To me, it is a priceless gift to be able to have access to translations of these ancient texts; to books that were written during the time in history when the events were actually occurring. This book was originally written in Latin in the late 1500's by Edmund Campion, who escaped England during the persecutions of Elizabeth. He became a Jesuit priest and returned to bring the Mass and Sacraments to the Catholics in England. He is blunt and zealous and anxious to instruct those who had been led astray. Campion was captured, tortured and martyred but this work exists to this day. I will read it again.

Intro has a brief but exciting and well told outline of Campion's life, especially as relates to publication of the Ten Reasons. Entire latin text along with translation in this volume. Everyone should read. Some funny and scathing name calling by St Campion.
