5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent. ... couldn't be better., October 27, 2010

These Safety Glasses are as plain as can be, and their low cost suggests that they are, "cheap." No, they're not!

1. When I go to the target range, I must wear my own glasses, a baseball cap, ear protection (also Peltor*, by the way) and these Safety Glasses. I do not have any problem with the glasses interfering with the headphones. I do not have any problem with the glasses interfering with my regular glasses.

2. These glasses are 100% transparent. They have no tinting at all. I rely on my regular glasses (which change tint automatically) to provide protection from bright sunlight.

3. These glasses can be easily folded just like regular glasses. I **do** take pains to pad them when I pack them in my range bag. A reasonable effort to protect them from scratches or crushing will allow you to keep these glasses for years.

4. These glasses do have the side protection to protect your eyes against flying casings.

5. If it becomes necessary to replace them, the replacement cost is trivial. So it makes sense to always keep a spare pair handy (in the original blister pack -- unopened).

[A suggestion which may help keep these glasses scratch-free: open the package carefully. Don't throw it away. Use it to store the glasses in your range bag.]

My wife and I each have a pair of these Safety Glasses which we use when we shoot. EACH OF US has a spare.

If you have perfect vision (and therefore do not wear glasses normally), the only shortcoming of these Safety Glasses might be their lack of protection from very bright light.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great price and made in the USA, February 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For some reason it's really difficult to find shooting glasses for people who wear eyeglasses. The options are either prescription or a pair that goes over the glasses. Because I'm not ready to make the plunge into prescription, I got these.

Even though one of my eyeglasses has big lenses and is a pretty wide frame (about 140), I was still able to wear these over my glasses. These also work with my peltor hearing protection.

Best part about these glasses is that they're made in the US. It's great to find a product that's not made by slave labor.
