Editorial Reviews

Review

"With this book in hand, we can better understand why lfric was the most prolific, creative, and thoughtful writer of English religious prose in Anglo-Saxon England and why no study of early English sermonsor indeed of English vernacularity in general can afford to neglect the Catholic Homilies. --Speculum
