Book Description

Fallen August 2006

haven? or hell?

Aaron Corbet is an eighteen-year-old Nephilim and the one who will reunite the fallen angels with Heaven. But right now Aaron isn't interested in saving anybody other than himself, his magically powered dog, and his younger, autistic foster brother, Steven, from Verchiel, the cruel leader of the Powers. Verchiel is bent on destroying Aaron, and with him all hope of angelic reconciliation.

With the help of a fallen angel, Aaron manages to arrive in the angelic refuge known as Aerie. Though he hopes to catch his breath before continuing the Good Fight, Aaron learns that the other residents of Aerie are concerned about his presence and his role in their future. But how can he win their trust when he has accidentally led the Powers straight to the sanctuary of the Fallen?

5.0 out of 5 stars This series keeps getting better!, November 17, 2003
I love the fallen series and was waiting with great excitement for the third book to come out. I got the book on October 31 and finished it the same night.

As Aaron grows to understand his powers, the story expands with him. The book follows Aaron, Gabriel, and Camael to Aerie, sanctuary and safe haven for the fallen angels as well as some Nephilim that survived the wrath of the Powers. As Aaron struggles to maintain his humanity while learning about his angelic heritage, we learn about what really happened in the War at Heaven's Gates from the source that started it all as the identity of Verchiel's prisoner is finally reviled. We also learn that Aaron's father is... ^_^ Didn't think I was actually going to spoil it, did you?

My friends and I have all followed the Fallen series closely and I speak for all of us when I say that we are waiting for Reckoning with great anticipation.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Fallen, October 31, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is part of a series about fallen angels, and nephilim (children of angels and humans). The first few books were great, although it got a bit tedious toward the end of the series. Still worth a look. Doesn't preach any religion, but is almost like a supernatural series where all of the beings are a "given". Written for a younger crowd (like the Twilight series and Harry Potter) but still good reading for adults.

5.0 out of 5 stars 3rd Book And It Keeps Getting Better, Who Would Have Though It?, December 19, 2009
This book is just plain out awesome. I know through my personal experience with series of books, though not majorly extensive, the books in the later part of the series tend to dwindle down and start to loose some of the original interest. This book however is far from that notion. This book just kept up the interesting nature of the first two and succeeded what i could have imagined. I was majorly impressed at how the book turned out. The action scenes that were in this book just made my mind race in descriptive value. I pictured the surroundings and the characters as if i were standing right there next to them. The back story made it's way out again as in the second book and you learn more about Aaron and his life, legacy, and purpose. You can feel the tension while your reading through the book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat reading and wondering what was going to happen next. For Thomas E Sniegoski to keep me as the reader in suck an awestruck state and keep me drawn in as he did is just amazing. He kept me interest well after i put the book down. It made me want to pick up the next book right away and get started on it so i could find out more and keep the great story going. After you read this book you'll be ready to pick up the next one.
