These shorts arrived quickly and are just what they said they would be. They may run a little big ... but then so does hubby! I ordered by his waist size but they are a little big and have to be pulled up by the drawstring some.

Not the tight, lycra compression short underneath, more of a meshy-type fabric, but the padding is top-quality.

I love these Mt Borah bike shorts made by Aero Tech. They are very true to size.

If you're new to this whole biking thing (like me) just beware that there are a wide variety of different crotch-pads used with biking shorts. Low level padding, mid level padding, and heavy level padding... and there are different "places" and/or "designs" for the padding. My guess is that the crotch-pad used with these Mt Borah shorts is considered to be low to mid level padding.

So if you think that your "boys" might need a little more padding upfront - then be sure to google and check out "Aero Tech cargo bike shorts" that are about five bucks less than the baggy shorts listed here (the Aero Tech site also shows the various crotch-pads used with the different shorts they make).

I went ahead and gave these Mt Borah shorts five stars because they really are great quality baggy bike shorts for an excellent price. If you don't need the extra padding upfront, you will be thrilled with these shorts.

I was very disappointed with the drawstring. The first time I tried them on the whole drawstring came out. It had no aglets on the end of the string which made it near impossible to get the drawstring back into the shorts. It is a short string that is made very cheaply. Other than that I like the shorts.

Only now and in my 40s have I started riding what I call long distances going 20+ miles every day before work and then on Holidays I go 50+ and these shorts were just the last piece of the puzzle I needed.

They have a very hidden padded liner in them yet they fit great and look of cargo shorts which I wear on most days in the summer any way.

I do not want to wear Spandex or form fitting. These are Cargo shorts with form fitting underneath them for the owners eyes only :)

They make a longer ride possible with the padding they provide combine with no seams or pockets in places that would cause wear on your body.

They do have lots of pockets for cash, cell phone, candy bars or debit card.

Best bike shorts I own

First of all the quality of the shorts is first rate. And the shorts are as advertised. As a large sized bicycle rider I appreciate the opportunity for plus sized clothing. My only problem with the shorts as a whole is the fact that it is a baggy two layered short. I knew what I was ordering, but did not foresee that I would have a problem with the loose outer layer getting stuck under my derriere when returning to a seated position after standing on the pedals. When this happens the affected leg feels like a weight has been attached and I have to physically reach between my legs and yank the extra material back into place. If anyone is watching I'm sure it looks quite strange. I still like the shorts, they're worth the money, but I may go with the single layer lycra shorts next time I buy.

The one thing that is annoying is that there's not a decent drawstring on these. I found that there's a skinny string that you can get at with a pair of needle nose pliers where you would expect a drawstring to be. I worried it out and cut and knotted it so I can tie these things on.

Made a purchace of the "MEN'S Baggy Bicycle Touring Shorts Padded bike short" on April 23, 2009 at approximately 10:00 PM and received my shorts on April 25th at approximately 11:00 AM. The weather has been quite cold and we are currently experiencing a heat wave for April. Before the post arrived, I told my wife that I should have ordered the shorts earlier. Here they were; much sooner that I expected. Had to break them in. These shorts are light and comfortable. The back will have to take a bit of adjusting too, but all I can say is they are light, breathable and most importantly comfortable. The 3XL fits extremely well. I'll be utilizing these all summer long. Hopefully by next year, I'll be down to a XL and will definitely shop at Aero Tech Designs Inc again.

Thank you Aero Tech Designs for allowing us big guys a means to look natural while endeavoring to get in shape. I'm completely satisfied with the entire process and product.

Both the outer cargo shorts, and inner compression shorts are very comfortable and well constructed. These shorts were true to the size I ordered. The padding in the compression shorts is very comfortable and makes riding more enjoyable. The cargo shorts are also well constructed and the pockets are handy, my only complaint is the drawstring could be a little heavier, but that is a minor concern.

Drawstring snapped on 1st ride. Could not re-string. Shorts are now worthless. Hope i can get a replacement.

No problems, just right. And, for men, their is room to move about without feeling "bunched up". That says it all!
