Sour grapes from Valencia, March 11, 2004

I don't know what chip the reveiwer from Valencia has on his/her shoulder, but it's clear this person must live a bitter life. I tend to side with the reviewers from Tampa and Commerce. This movie was made for entertainment purposes, and should be viewed as such. I found this animated tale appropriate, and "entertaining" for my children. With the current crop of movie's available geared more towards teens and adults, it's nice to find one that, as a parent, I don't have to worry about foul language, or scenes that will give nightmares to the younger viewer's. Most reviews provided by the public are given in earnest, and should not be subject for ridicule. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even Valencia. Therefore, it is my hope that potential buyer's read these review's with a grain of salt, and take the opinion of one parent, that this movie is indeed worth sharing with your children.

It's okay, not good, not bad, April 3, 2004

I thought this movie was okay. It's background was excellent, but the characters could have had more work on. Their heads looks strangely too big for their bodies. The story was sort of cliche ish. (Boy beats up big bad monster.) the story also seemed rushed, one second the story drags, then the next the movie throws something new, then heads back for dragging again. It doesn't flow, (like Princess Mononoke, Titan A.E. those are excellent animated films) This movie also seems to "copy" from the movie "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" which is better. Overall it's an okay movie, But i think it's only worth watching 1 time.

Poor Quality DVD, May 16, 2004

I sincerely like this movie, however, the copy received from Amazon.com was in and out of focus, as if filmed on a movie screen for release. Poor quality copy. There are no setting features, special features or any other item to indicate it is a real dvd release. It is not 5.1 sound, not even stereo. Very fustrating to watch due to these many flaws Jarvis
