Like a ready-made bed in a box, the Aero Comfort Camp Bed is suitable for overnight guests, backyard sleep-outs, and casual camping. The bed is actually two separate pieces--a heavy-duty inflatable mattress and a custom-fit nylon-shell sleeping bag. Aero makes the mattress from 18-gauge PVC for indoor/outdoor durability and uses a coil construction for stability and comfort. Stuffed with three pounds of poly fiber fill, the sleeping bag wraps tidily onto the mattress and is designed to keep you warm in temperatures as low as 40 degrees F. A built-in pillow simplifies matters further. Designed for quick and cordless set-up, the bed uses a rechargeable Ni-Cd pump to inflate in about a minute and an air-release valve to deflate in 30 seconds. I don't normally make reviews but when I saw that amazon was selling this I couldn't keep quiet.
I bought one of these years ago from QVC and have never been happier. It's a bed in a bag. No need to find extra sheets unless it's pretty cold and then, if it is, all you need is a blanket. I was traveling a lot and after I bought this, it was nice to always know where I would be sleeping. I should say though that I haven't tried it outside. It's also much more comfortable then you might think. I have had a bad back since I was a kid and as long as I inflate the bed until it's firm, I wake up fine. As a matter of fact, I'm buying another one for my aunt this Christmas as a gift. Everyone who sees it, wants one for themselves. My only issue is that you have to remember to charge the motor 24 hours before your trip or you wont be able to inflate your mattress. The motor doesn't turn on unless its disconnected from the charger so if it isn't charged before hand, your out of luck. If your as forgetful as I am, and you use it indoors, you might want to get the Instant On Aerobed AC Pump just encase you forget to charge. I know amazon does sell it: AeroBed - 40035 - Instant On Aerobed AC Pump - Black - 110 v, but its over 10$ cheaper if you get it directly from the Aerobed web sight. So if your tired of sleeping on a lumpy couch or a hard cold floor when you visit your families this holiday season, pick this up. You wont be disappointed...
