Worthless,

Absolutely Worthless. Lost significant amount of air within the first hour. Body was actually touching the ground by morning, trying to use the self inflation device is comparable to swimming upriver.
Unfortunately I didn't discover how much so until the return policy on Amazon was over. Been working too hard, finally went camping and was disappointing beyond belief. Do not fall for the convenience hype and differentiation to standard aerobeds with detached pumps and proven valve systems. I have never felt so compelled to write a review online and will most likely seek an alternative manufacturer for my next consideration. Chris

Bought this product and only used a few times before it started leaking air. E-mailed Aerobed and tried all their suggestions, however we never could locate the leak on this product. Very disappointed in Aerobed's customer service. Of course the warranty period was over....so they were not the least bit interested in helping. Will not purchase Aerobed products in the future....

...bought the air mattress when it first arrived on the market. Experienced the same outcome as the other negative reviews for this product. Mattress does not hold air. No tears or leaks found. The only way my mattress is losing air is through the factory installed, battery operated, air pump mechanism/valve system.

One of the seams broke. No way to fix it. Past the warranty date. Aerobed can't don anything. Love Aero Products just not this bed. And the normal patches don't stick on this bed because of the suede like finish.

Best air mattress I've owned!,

My husband and I have owned at least four air mattresses over the past 10 years. We use them for tent camping. When it was time to purchase yet another one, we did a lot of research because we were sick and tired of waking up on the ground because the air would leak out overnight. The AeroBed Elevated Home and Camp Bed with Built-in Extra-Life pump had some good reviews online and seemed to be made out of durable material. We were nervous, but went ahead and ordered it, and we were pleasantly surprised! We recently went on a 5-night camping trip to the North Shore and only had to add a little bit of air once. It was super easy with the built-in pump - just press a button. We are impressed and extremely happy with our purchase!

I try not to be negative and give bad product reviews. However, I have to agree with the other unhappy reviews of this mattress. We used it during summer vacation without too much problem except for some loss of air. I used it this weekend (9-24-11) for fall camping and when I awoke at 4 a.m. I was on the ground and cold - it was 37 degrees! We have noted that air mattresses suck up cold air to the surface. I had prepared for that by putting another sleeping bag on top of the mattress and crawled into another. However, based on the fairly succesfull summer use I forgot to have plan C. I was wishing for my REI and Thermarest mattresses. I didn't want to crawl out of my sleeping bag and run the pump and possibly wake up my fellow tent-campers. I feel bad I spent my money on this item and had also bought another twin size Aerobed too. This may be a problem with all air mattresses and that's a shame as they definitely are comfortable. As one gets older one wants a little more comfort and I thought the air mattress would be a good solution.

Took a flyer & ordered a queen & twin as daybeds for my office--not a disaster if the quality turns out to be as low as the horrible reviews indicate. Called Coleman to ask if there have been any new quality-control measures put in place since their purchase, and there have--the warranty has been reduced to one year. Hard to say if this is Intelligent Design or devolution. 17-minute hold time may give a clue.

I first ordered this bed slept on it for 5 days and it started to leak air sent it back then recieved my second Aerobed it lasted about a three weeks and started to lose air sent it back. AMAZON.COM refunded my money. I am in the military and got a bad back so I always take one of these air beds with me on deployment I order another brand with much heavy material and no problems so far.

I have had several aerobeds and this model is by far the worst. This bed started leaking after it's second use, losing about half the air during the night. It's unclear where the leak was coming from. A second unit also had the same problem. Comparing the problems of 2 of these battery powered aerobeds with the electrical aerobeds I have, and reading the reviews of other customers with similar problems, it's clear that this unit has a design flaw. Don't buy. You will be disappointed.
