This review is from: AeroBed Premier Classic with Comfort Zone Coils Twin Bed (Kitchen)
I have been deployed to Iraq for over a year. I ordered my Aerobed Classic with Comfort Zone Coils within a month of arrival. The beds and mattresses in our quarters were not comfortable and I woke up with an aching back nearly every day.

The Aerobed was delivered promptly. I have used it every day for a year and have been very pleased. It is extremely comfortable, because you are able to adjust the inflation with the touch of a button. If I ever felt uncomfortable, I could make the mattress firmer or softer in seconds. I found that the mattress held air very consistently and I rarely had to re-inflate it.

After using the mattress every day for a year, it finally developed a slow leak. Also the internal baffles in one section separated from the outer skin and formed a bulge. This occured within about three weeks of the warranty expiration. I contacted customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement.

I am exceptionally pleased with the product and with the customer service. I would certainly recommend this product and this manufacturer to anyone looking for a quality air bed. This product helped me get a significantly better night's sleep each day so that I could focus more clearly on my job during my deployment to Iraq with the Army.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this bed because of the rave reviews, but mine arrived with a leak, and even though the instructions told me to CALL AEROBED, DO NOT RETURN TO PLACE OF PURCHASE, but rather than replace the bed, they told me to spray the bed thoroughly with a spray bottle filled with water and a drop of soap, and still I could not find a leak, even though I spent 45 intimate minutes with this bed, trying to find the leak. A subsequent phone call to Aerobed resulted in their insistance I return the product to the place of purchase. After all that, I still had to package the bed back up and take it to the post office, to return it to Amazon. I feel I have spent too much time on this bed and resent all this extra nonsense. The bed was to be for a weekend guest, so it was a huge problem that it arrived and wouldn't stay inflated. The guest slept on the couch.

We found this product very useful. It works as a spare bed for overnight guests. Also the inflation and deflation are a breeze with the wired remote control.
We have to hold the remote buttons manually for the desired level of inflation, which is a little uncomfortable because you have to hold the button down for atleast 2-3 minutes.Small issue anc can be overlooked considering the quality and the space it saves.

The Premier Classic AeroBed is very comfortable. I bought it as a temporary solution when I needed to buy a new bed, and ended up using it for about a month. I would recommend it for nightly use!

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable Sleeping on Air, April 2, 2007
This review is from: AeroBed Premier Classic with Comfort Zone Coils Twin Bed (Kitchen)
This mattress inflates with an electric control. You shouldn't stand on this as it may decrease in air volume, however, I've had it for about four weeks and found I only have to reinflate every week or so.

4.0 out of 5 stars Recommended for occasional use, May 28, 2008

I bought this Aerobed because of previous positive experience with a similar model (which now lives at my son's house for our occasional week-long visits) and in spite of a negative experience with the Pillow-top version (the pillow-top doesn't expand as wide as the bottom does on inflation, so it tends to become something of a pillow-tub). Unfortunately, this "Premier Classic" appears to have a slow leak-- it starts out firm and fine, but over night, it becomes softer and bouncier-- when my wife rolls over, I bounce around some, and vice-versa. The other queen-size "Classic" that I have stays firm and non-bouncy all night with no problem. (It is evidently a previous model, because the plug-in air pump is external to the mattress and strapped onto the end.) This newer (?) version has all the pump stuff inside a rigid plastic plate, and requires plug-in power for inflation AND deflation, unlike the other model which deflates all by itself when a valve is opened and the mattress is compressed. I also own a camper version with a rechargeable attached air pump, and it performs quite well-- no leaks so far. I do vastly prefer the internal support structure of Aerobeds over the cheaper competition, and they are much sturdier, so on balance I would buy another.

I love my new AeroBed Premier Classic with comfort zone coils. I sleep on it every night. It is placed on top of my side of our King sized bed. The coils are perfect as they support my back more, (I have back problems) and my feet less, (so they aren't up in the air like they would be on an average air mattress). It also arrived much sooner than I expected and packaging was more than adequate.

So far this bed is a huge step up from the air mattress it replaced.
It is even across the whole surface and it inflates enough to offer a firm surface.
It looses very little air over time, it is something hard to gauge, but I have added air maybe every 7 days, just a little, which seems really good for this type of system, and certainly it doesn't change appreciably over the course of a night.
I use this bed as my everyday bed, with a memory foam top on it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Leave the plug in., September 10, 2007
If you're like me and prefer a firm mattress, leave the plug in for about 5 minutes after it inflates. Believe me, you'll notice the difference.

I've been sleeping on this bed now for 2 weeks and I cannot say enough good things about it. I bought it as my mattress on my bed was shot and I don't have the money right now to replace it. I do have a bed that is about 4 ft off the ground now, so I can't fall out without injury, but I sleep wonderfully! I highly recommend this product!
