5.0 out of 5 stars AeroGarden Salad Greens
A fun way to grow your own food. Quite a bit easier than your typical tilled garden. Good educational experience too for the kids.

We bought our Aerogarden at Christmas. It is now May and we have a whopping one cherry tomato that is almost ripe. The tomato plant grew quickly and in fact the leaves keep getting burned by the grow light because it is so tall. There are some other blooms on the plant now but at this rate our regular outdoor garden will be producing before we get any tomatoes off of this. (We thought it would be a great way to get tomatoes during the winter). We did Basil in another Aerogarden and it did fine so maybe we just got a bad plant.

3.0 out of 5 stars AeroGarden 3-Pod Seed Kit, January 7, 2010

This review is from: AeroGarden 800350-0200 3-Pod Seed Kit, Red Cherry Tomato (Lawn & Patio)
When I read the description, I assumed there was 3 pods of seeds in the kit. I had bought these as a gift for Christmas and when the person opened them up, there was only one pod of seeds in them. The description is very bad and does not depict what you are really buying.

I love aero garden but this is the second time that I have ordered this product and there have been no seeds in the pods.

1.0 out of 5 stars Romaine seed pods, September 7, 2011

I followed the instructions to the letter and read that the pods will grow in 1-3 days. Well it's been 10 days and nothing. Very disappointed.

As others have stated the plant grows wonderfully - right into the grow light where the leaves shrivel and die from the heat. My plant has all of two small tomatoes on it.

Yesterday, I finally transplanted it into a pot so we'll see if it does any better. I'm sure the foliage will be happier. Just hoping the root system survives the transplant. It came out fairly cleanly will little or no damage.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh no! They don't grow!, September 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was not a good purchase. The seeds in the pods failed to germinate, and most of the nutrient packs had leaked and dried up. There was evidence of a leak or moisture on the outside of the box when it came, and when I opened it, the whole inside was stained and dirty from the leaking packets. I tried to grow the pods anyway, and was sadly disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Awfully expensive tomatoes, July 14, 2010

This review is from: AeroGarden 800350-0200 3-Pod Seed Kit, Red Cherry Tomato (Lawn & Patio)
Gave a three-pod system with a cherry tomato seed kit as a gift. Nowhere in the description was it mentioned that only ONE seed pod came with the kit! Feels like a big rip-off! Yes, the tomatoes will take up more space than a petunia, but the company should warn people that the tomato kit only has one plant. Considering the price, you can get a lot of tomatoes at the store!

This is my first aero-garden product. I planted it 2 1/2 weeks ago and should be able to harvest my first salad next week. Easy....

There's only one seed pod cause as you'll see after it grows the root system is enormous and it would kill any other plants. The plant grew well, produced cute little red tomatoes that were great to look at but i wouldn't recommend eating them. They are mushy and have no flavor, such a waste. Every herb I've grown has turned out wonderful so I'll stick with those.
