Aerogarden is a local company (Boulder, CO) and they must really understand the frustration we gardeners deal with, given our very short growing season (late May to early September -- barely enough time for tomatoes). I've now had my garden for two months, currently planted with a tomato and a lettuce plant. The lettuce plant provides me with a salad every other day or so, mixed with a small amount of iceberg for crunch, and the tomato is just starting to blossom. (While I bought the flower kit, at the same time, I bought the greens and tomatoes seed packs. Any Aerogarden can use any seed pods, including the blank pods that let you pick what you want to grow.)
It's pretty hard to not grow plants successfully with this machine. Set the timer, check the water every couple of days, add a nutrient tablet every two weeks. That's it.
We're buying two more, one for hot peppers and one for herbs.
