4.0 out of 5 stars Blast off pounds
The premise, of course, is doing various aerobic type exercises on the treadmill for 45 stinking minutes. I started out and thought "I can do this". We're walking and stretching and I'm doing fine. Then she wants me to do a front skipping motion-2 front skips, change legs, 4 front skips, change legs and then 8. I'm already beginning to cuss ( I cuss ALOT when I exercise),...

3.0 out of 5 stars Be coordinated and have a good treadmill
This is a tough workout that requires a fairly high level of coordination. You are doing traditional aerobic moves (skips, jumps, etc.) on the moving tread belt. It's definitely innovative and not easy to do. I have a low-end treadmill that groaned on some of the moves. This can't be good for my motor. If you have a more powerful treadmill, I'd highly recommend this...

I'm already beginning to cuss ( I cuss ALOT when I exercise), it's not like I do it as lightly as they do. I felt like a large hippo with a limp leg. Then she says, turn your body sideways and skip. I about went off the back. I had to twist my body to catch the rails. Now I'm thinking-what kind of ... is that? At 11 minutes into it, I was ready for a cool down. No, she starts doing the hill workouts. I couldn't finish all FOUR hills. Then she says, "OK, take it down..... to 4.5!!. I was turning mine down to 3.0. Now she started doing knee raises. Can you imagine doing this on the treadmill, all the while using your arms as well? It was crazy. I tried it once and disgraced myself. I mainly watched the last 25 minutes purely as entertainment. I kept thinking, what if someone like my mother tried it. She would kill herself. Most of this review is tonque in cheek. I really think with practice I could master this workout and a workout it is. The instructors are motivational without being too perky.
I am going to continue this video. I will learn those moves and I'll look good doing them. I figure if I can finish this video, even at the intermediate level, I will be a fitness babe.
On a scale of 1-10 "8" I'll check back in a month.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Cardio workout, February 5, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Aerobic Cardio Blast (DVD)
I started out using my treadmill as a weight loss tool and soon found I need more variation to loose more weight. This video helped me to use my treadmill in various ways and helped me burn more calories. Some of the moves are difficult for beginners but this lets you set your own pace. I recommend it for anyone who wants more of a challenge.

If you have a more powerful treadmill, I'd highly recommend this workwout. If you're looking for a more traditional workout, I'd encourage you to try the speed interval workout by Treadmoves. It's not available on Amazon, but is directly from the company or Collage Video. This is probably because it's only on VHS. This is a tough workout that can be tailored to your fitness level.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE?, September 1, 2004
This review is from: Aerobic Cardio Blast (DVD)
If you are looking for a challenge on your treadmill, this is the excercise program for you. I read one of it's reviews before I purchased it. I thought that the individual who worte the review was exaggerating. To my suprise, she wasn't! This workout (...)...in a good way though! I love it. You work all parts of the body, and towards the end, they even have you do some push-ups, crunches and finish up with stretching.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Ideas for Varying Your Treadmill Workouts, June 3, 2003
By A Customer
Good video, but I had to adapt it to my level, because it starts out pretty fast. Even beginners can do the video if you're willing to keep your treadmill slower than the video goes until you get the hang of the exercises. The video includes some exercises with weights, various stepping and skipping, various up and down moves with the incline on your treadmill and short slow jog sprints.

4.0 out of 5 stars It takes the "Humdrum" out of using your treadmill., May 21, 2003

Extremely challenging. While using my treadmill, I'd tend to become bored within twenty minutes or so into the workout, not with this video. This video is interesting, motivating and intense. Some of the moves require time to become familiar with but that's the interesting phase of it. The video takes the beginner, intermediate and advanced users abilities into consideration. Try it out, and if you don't care for it, what's the worst case scenario. Selling it to someone else to sample?

This was a great workout to get over the boredom of the treadmill. It works all parts of your body, whether you are sprinting, climbing those hills or walking your buns off, you know you are getting a great workout! It throws in some upper body work and you are set for the day!

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Hard!, September 24, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Wow. I hope some day to be at the level these people are! I am a moderate exerciser, not over-weight, and was only able to keep up for the first 5 minutes. The rest of the time I spent jogging on the treadmill, using the video as inspiration, telling myself that they are working much harder then I am. Some leg moves I couldn't even attempt without almost falling off.

May not be a good idea if you are uncoordinated, out of shape, or overweight. Not for the novice!

1.0 out of 5 stars This is Not for Beginners!, September 22, 2007
By
This review is from: Aerobic Cardio Blast (DVD)
I was so excited when I came across these Treadmoves videos because I had invested in a really good treadmill but was bored with simply walking/jogging on it. I would say that I was about 60 pounds overweight and was exercising regularly and losing weight when I purchased this video. I was very discouraged by the rapid tempo and the amount of agility and coordination the video requires to keep up! It's a shame because it is a great idea but is only geared for those who are already very physically fit.
