This yo-yo simply does not sleep. "Adjust" it according to the manufacturer's instructions all day long, but the yo-yo halves fly apart before either of two fairly skilled players could make it sleep. I am an Aerobie fan, and the Aerospin feels very pleasing in the hand, really plush. If you want a yo yo that returns very quickly, VERY quickly, without hurting your palm, this one's for you. It looks super cool, but i returned mine in exchange for a less expensive Spintastics Tiger Shark, a MUCH better yo-yo for $5 less. I really don't think the Arospin is a "real" yo-yo since you can't do many tricks with it! I could do forward passes and loops, but forget anything that requires a sleeper. Note: my husband and I have 8 yo-yos ranging from 10-40 dollars. My favorite cheap yoyo is the Duncan Avenger, my top models the Mini Motu and xConvicts by Yomega, for reference.I hope this helps... Yo-yos rule.

I bought this yo-yo for my 16 year old son who thinks it's wonderful compared to others he's had. One cautionary word, if you take it apart, there are two (very integral) tiny silicone rings, one of which falls right out and can disappear into never-never land. I searched high and low for replacement parts online, to no avail. We finally went to a local hobby store that specializes in radio controlled airplanes and found a suitable stand-in for less than $3 for a 4-pack.
My son says that the padded rubber (the orange part shown in the picture) really saves a lot of pain if you throw and catch the yo-yo at high speed.
It's a great past time, especially when waiting for something else (in line at movies, gotta go to the store with Mom, etc...) provided the user knows to keep the tricks to a minimum where other people are moving around.

I have been playing with yo-yos for many years. My collection includes Duncans, Yomegas and even a few of the very desirable and collectible Tom Kuhn yo-yos. The Aerospin is, by far the best.
It competes with any other yo-yo I've seen in terms of design. The internal mechanism allows for long sleep times -- rivaling the best ball bearing yo-yos. The shape is smooth and comfortable, providing you with a butterfly-like profile but more of a standard Imperial shape.
The best part of it, though, by far, are the soft rims. First, these are much gentler on the hand than any other yo-yo -- and important factor in terms of comfort. Also, you will not worry about damaging other items, allowing you to try riskier tricks without worry. This baby will even bounce off the floor or coffee table without leaving a scratch. As a result, you'll try tricks you may have been afraid to try in the past.
Finally, the design allows you to adjust the responsiveness or separate the halves simply by giving them a twist, a feature found on the Tom Kuhn yo-yos. This will allow you to clear a jammed string easily.
With this yo-yo, I've been able to master tricks like around the world and man on the flying trapeze, which I have not been able to perform with any other yo-yo.
At this price, this yo-yo can't be beat! You won't be disappointed.
