The Best Airline Sim Ever!, January 1, 2003
This review is from: Aerobiz Supersonic (Video Game)
Koei's "Aerobiz Supersonic" is a true rarity - a business sim that is both fun and challenging. You are the CEO of a new airline. Your goal is simple -- to be the #1 airline in the world within 20 years. You accomplish this by buying aircraft and using them to open routes to cities all over the world. You can also buy businesses such as hotels, amusement parks, even travel agencies to give your airline the edge over your competitors. "Aerobiz Supersonic" gives you 4 scenarios to choose from: 1955-1975, 1970-1990, 1985-2005, and 2000-2025. Koei really did their historical homework here. As the years go by, world events affect your business: wars, World's Fairs, even changing political systems. Koei is also to be commended for using actual airline types as well as creative fictitious ones. The interface is very easy to use, including a very clever 'Hold Board Meeting' where your advisors suggest new routes and/or businesses to buy. Yes, it may be hard to find since it was only available for Super Nintendo and Genesis, but it is well worth it to anyone who has ever had an interest in airlines. Other airline business simulations have been released, but none of them can measure up to "Aerobiz Supersonic." Hopefully Koei will release this great sim as a PC title soon!

WHO KNEW RUNNING YOUR OWN AIRLINE COULD BE FUN 7.5 OUT OF 10, January 24, 2008
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Aerobiz Supersonic (Video Game)
At first I didn't like this game, but then I warmed up to it and actually started to have fun with it. You pick your own timeline that can range from the 1950's to the 2000's era and you open your own airline. You can open your airline in the United States, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, and your basic task is to keep your airline going. That means buying planes, negotiating with different cities to open airlines, decide how many flights there are per week, how many planes go out, manage how much flights costs depending on location, payroll, keep your budget in check, and try and dominate over the other airlines as the years in your timeline progress. This game is not easy, and you will have difficulty trying to run your airline and to keep it above the competition. The main problems with this game are repetition issues, difficulty, and it feels a little slow during the timeline. This game is not for everyone, but those who like sims should get a kick out of this game along with anyone who is willing to try something new.
