It really makes good froth for your coffee.

I find it more consistent if I froth cold milk first, then nuke it for about 10 seconds. This way the froth stays "solid" instead of melting away (at least that's the way I like it).

I take it to work and whenever I travel, too. I've been using my extra sets of reachargeable batteries, cos the batteries...

There's no doubt that it's a great frother! It does what it's supposed to do; it froths any kind of milk darn good!
Sharing my 3-week-experience, lactose free milk worked the best. The foam stayed longer than other milk. The fresher the milk is, the more foam you get as well.

I would have loved it more if it did not have design and/or material problem...

This whip really does work great. I've worked in a couple coffee shops, and I'll tell you, it's almost (and I mean ALMOST, and that complimentarily) just as good, but the best way to get the foam cap is to heat the milk in a pan on the stove, then whip the whole bunch--the wide surface area will give you maximum foam. Block it with a spoon when you poor it into the espresso (of coffee), then spoon the foam onto the top. The travel case is also ideal for me, since I travel a lot.

It's made out of cheap plastic. The body can't get a hold of its own lid to battery. I wasn't comfortable using it because it's just about to pop out of the handle while frothing.
I tried to tighten the screws in, but it didn't do much.

Finally Amazon sent me a replacement, however it came with the same problem.
I am afraid I should return both of them and get a stainless steel version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long time multiple aerolatte user, March 19, 2009
This review is from: Aerolatte To Go, Milk Frother, Black (Kitchen)
I was given my first aerolatte about 6 years ago - liked it so much i immediately bought another (e-bay) for use at the office. My Doctor does not allow me to have any coffee at all, but I needed a stirrer to mix my protein powder into my milk without making lumps. They both worked perfectly, lasting about 6 years, then inexplicably died! Both of them, within a month of each other!! I can't get along without them, so I ordered two new replacements through Amazon. They also work perfectly. So far it's 4 for 4 with no problems (I expect them to wear out eventually but it's great knowing i can quickly, conveniently cheaply replace them here) I found the batteries last longer and provide more power, and are rechargeable, if you use Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables - performance is better than alkalines, and WAY better than regular NiMH. Eneloops are available on Amazon at about $7 for a 6 AA pack. My only negative was a quick learning experience when I first got it: submerge the whisk, THEN turn it on! Failure to do so will spray-paint you, the counter-top, the walls, the kid, the cat, and anything else within about 12 feet. You only do that ONCE...

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved it, now I really miss it!, August 26, 2006

I have had my Aerolatte for 21/2 years. I use it everyday and have taken it on holiday with me. It just died and I really miss it. Now that I've found it on Amazon I shall order a new one immediately.

One thing, it is limited in it's uses. For frothing milk great! for beating eggs, it struggles (too thick), unless you beat the eggs first, then use it to froth the eggs more. Mayonnaise is too thick for it's little motor, but for emulsifying a viniagrette it's great. Like I said I love it and I cannot do without it for my morning latte/cappuccino. I don't even bother with my Krups capuccino maker any more; too much cleanup and takes too long.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Design flaws a great idea, July 4, 2007

The unit is powerful and fast but the battery compartment is flawed by poor design. The lid which is located on the top is loose and ill fitting. I had to send the first one back because it would pop off in normal operation. The replacement still has fit issues, but seems to stay in place.

I've had many foamers. I am, in fact, a foamer junkie. This is my favorite. It foams more easily and more items than the old bonjour I had with more of a blade at the bottom. I used to use the bonjour frother that includes a glass holder, but the glass broke and I had to replace it a number of times. I then tried the regular aerolatte, but without a cover, it stopped working properly over time because it didn't have enough protection. Now, this is my only foamer. I have two of them, one tucked away in my suitcase for travel, and one in my appliance drawer. When I want to froth milk for more than one person, I just put the milk in a tall glass and foam a larger amount, which I serve at the table with a long spoon. It is wonderful!

5.0 out of 5 stars AEROLATTE IS THE ORIGINAL AND THE BEST, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Aerolatte To Go, Milk Frother, Black (Kitchen)
There are other similar products out there but nothing compares the original aerolatte. the case will help protect your aerolatte from becoming bent when just thrown in a drawer. heat about 1/4 cup of milk (skim works best) in microwave for 45 seconds (all microwaves are different so test yours first) and then whip the milk to foam. it may take longer than the instructions especially if you like a lot of foam. then pour in your coffee and you have a PERFECT latte!

I bought this after reading different reviews on several frothers and I am so glad I bought this one. It froths the milk perfectly.
Very pleased with the Aerolatte frother!
