A Beautifully Illustrated Book!,
This review is from: Aesop's Fables (Illustrated Stories for Child.) (Hardcover)
I couldn't believe the price on this book after I saw all the beautiful illustrations in it. The pictures are gorgeous, and full of expression. I also was impressed that it contained so many of the fables. I counted 82 fables in the index. I only expected a dozen or so for the size of the book. This book is a wonderful bargain, and I can't wait to read it to my children!

This review is from: Aesop's Fables: Illustrated by Charles Santore (Hardcover)
The little fables in this book are supported with morals at the end of each story. This I like because our children can read stories that they favor and learn important facts or maxims. I would recommend this book to any mother with a young child of ages 3-6. Have you ever read "The Tortise and the Hare?" That fable was repeatly used in many fairy tales or short stories. It taught a very important lesson to people who read it.

Aesop's Fables Review,
By michelle brown (Maine) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aesop's Fables (Illustrated Stories for Child.) (Hardcover)
This book is filled with many of the fables I remember hearing as a child. It is filled with the classics that heve been around forever and will continue to be read, told and heard throughout the future. Each story offers an important life lesson. Each story is great for children because the fables include animals as characters, which children love, and it makes it easier for them to understand and enjoy. My favorites from this book are The Hare and The Tortoise and The Lion and The Mouse. They both offer great messages about friendship and life. I believe this book should be read to all children and even adults can enjoy reading it, I did!
