Sweet Jazz candy for the soul!,
By S. M. Kstr "Travlin' lite" (NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aesthetic Melodology (Audio CD)
Bruce McKenzie's skill as a guitarist is matched only by his gift at sculpting jazz riffs that can drift through your soul like cool, blue, smoke or pulse through your blood with the rythm of a yearning heart. He creates a unique blend of sophisticated melodies that will satisfy the tastes of Jazz purists and serve as the perfect introduction to anyone new to the artform. Thanks, Mac, I'm still "your biggest fan"!

NOT BAD BUT...,
By Baddstuff "music junkie" (astoria, ny United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aesthetic Melodology (Audio CD)
...I'm afraid I don't care for the drum machine. I understand that as an independent Jazz guitarist that records, produces, and writes his own material Bruce is probably
trying to keep costs down but I have absolutely no love for drum machines. Most of you may not even be aware he's using a drum machine. How can I tell? Drum machines have no soul, no swig and sway, they are very mechanical, all they know is up and down, but what do you expect from a machine? The music itself? It's pleasing smooth jazz, nothing earth shattering. A lot of you may put this on while you're fixing breakfast or out back while washing the car. It's OK Bruce but I think I'll pass.
