I laughed, I cried, I couldn't put it down! It was the feel-good book of the year, a shoo-in for the Pulitzer. Pitanguy's command of the language took my breath away. Not since his own "Ulysses" or his Nobel-prize winning "The Old Man and the Sea" have I been so dazzled by an author's prose.
