1.0 out of 5 stars junk scope, May 16, 2011
This review is from: Aetec 2.8-10x44 WA Gloss (Misc.)
this scope is junk. i have had it for 9 months and the power adjustment ring broke. under that nice looking rubber is 2 thin flimsy plastic pieces dovetailed together and held on by the rubber boot.there is a tiny screw in one piece of the plastic that changes the power when you rotate the rubber ring. you turn the rubber the rubber turns the plastic pieces which moves the screw to change the power. on my scope the plastic broke and came loose from the screw . the plastic piece should be made from aluminum or even carbon fiber. the cost of the plastic could not even be a penny.it is under warranty because i kept my receipt but i have to pay to ship it to them plus pay them $10.00 to send it back to me. if they cant fix and dont have the same scope to replace they may send you a different model scope that they determine is of equal value. simmons is now owned by bushnell who also makes the tasco scopes. these are all junk.spend a little extra and get a redfeild made by lupold or a nikon or even the luepold varix1
