More About the Author

Kristie Leigh Maguire is quoted as saying, "I am an Independent Author and proud of it. I have never been accused of being like everyone else. I guess you could say that I am a true child of the sixties - doing things my way, and just a bit of a rebel at heart."

The Affaire de Coeur Magazine named Kristie Leigh Maguire as Best Up and Coming Author of the Year and her novel Desert Heat as Romance of the Year in their 2004 Reader/Writer Poll. Her novels Cabin Fever and No Lady and Her Tramp placed in the Top Ten in the Preditor & Editor's Poll (2005). Her sweet western romance, Second Chances: Love Lost, Love Found, made it to Number 2 of the Top 100 western romances at Amazon.com.

Kristie Leigh Maguire and her husband have lived all over the United States and many foreign countries while following his career. While living in Japan, she found it very difficult to find books to read that were written in English. This situation was intolerable as she was an avid reader and had been known to resort to reading cereal boxes if nothing else was available. Have you ever tried to read a cereal box written in Japanese? It was not a pretty picture. Ms. Maguire began writing her own books just to have something to read. She discovered a new passion in writing.

Although Kristie Leigh Maguire is originally from the South and will always remain Southern at heart, she and her husband live in the beautiful state of Arizona. During her expatriate years she lived in St. Croix, Aruba, Thailand, Japan and three times in Saudi Arabia and visited many other countries.

DESERT HEAT

Marcie Treyhorne has followed her husband, Steve, from city to city throughout the years they've been married. She's used to making swift adjustments to new homes, new jobs, and new bosses. But she never had a boss like Jim before! Can it be time for the Treyhornes to test their theoretically "open" marriage? Time to admit a third person, and form an intimate circle?

That's just what happens, and in some respects it turns out wonderfully. But it also turns complicated, in ways none of the trio anticipated.

Kristie Leigh Maguire doesn't make the mistake of substituting sex for plot and characterization. She generates enough heat to melt your glasses while you're reading, but not at the expense of featuring believable characters and telling a darn good story. Don't miss this one if ultra-sensual romance is your cup of tea.

CABIN FEVER

Marcie Treyhorne, heroine of DESERT HEAT, has been through many moves during her long marriage to Steve, whose job requires that. Always before she's adjusted and coped. But this is the first time she's left a lover behind, and it's almost more than she can handle.

Steve knows all about Jim, Marcie's lover, because admitting him as a third party in their open marriage was Steve's idea. Marcie's sadness as she tries to settle in at their new home in the mountains, though, goes beyond anything Steve expected. How can he help her get over missing Jim?

Once again the Treyhornes' bedroom action fairly scorches the pages, but this time we readers are in for more than a tale of unconventional romance. As we pass through a turning point in Marcie's life with her, the questions she asks herself seem eerily familiar.

Enjoyable resolution to what really does turn out to be the second half of a two-part tale.

Another great romance novel by Kristie!

The adventures of Marcie Treyhourne. This gal just has a way of finding excitement, erotic adventures with a splash of romance, along with a little trouble along the way. Kristie makes the characters come to life. If things got any hotter while I was reading the eBook, my laptop would have melted.

If you love romance with an erotic flair to it, you need to read Cabin Fever along with Desert Heat. Although it may be snowing outside at your house this winter, you'll be burning up after these novels.

Thanks Kristie for another exciting read!

Award-winning author Kristie Leigh Maguire has combined two of her best loved books into one volume. Desert Heat and Cabin Fever can now be enjoyed in the book, Affairs of the Heart. What a wonderful gift to readers!

Marcie, the main character, takes your breath away as she lives the fantasies that women (and men) only dream of, and rarely admit.

Marcie's story is that of a happily married woman who fights the attraction between herself and her new boss. Can one woman truly love two men at the same time? Can one woman enjoy physical and emotional bonds with two men? Maguire gives us the answers.

Secondary plot twists add to the suspense as Marcie's life becomes more and more entangled with her two loves, Steve and Jim. Her climatic decision comes down to physical desires and emotional well-being played against spiritual considerations and the stability of a long-standing marriage. Her decision may surprise you.

Kristie Leigh Maguire pushes the boundaries between romance and erotica, giving her readers heart-pounding sensual sensations within a dynamic plot. Don't miss Affairs of the Heart.

Yes, the original hot, sizzling romances by Kristie Leigh Maguire, Desert Heat and Cabin Fever, are now available under the same roof--or in the same volume. These books are not for the weak of heart. Maybe they should have a warning on the cover. But if a couple is having problems in their relationships, by the time you follow Marcie's steps together you won't need a marriage counselor! If you read the first version, you will still want to get the new "Collector's Edition." The changes are about as subtle as Marcie herself!

If Marcie Treyhorne had you on the edge of your seat in DESERT HEAT, just wait until you read CABIN FEVER! Marcie will tantalize, thrill and excite you like never before. Don't miss reading CABIN FEVER for the shocking conclusion of Marcie's story that began in Desert Heat!

Kristie Leigh Maguire left you panting for breath in Steve and Marcie Treyhorne's first book, Desert Heat. Now, in Cabin Fever, their story sizzles in front of the fireplace in the mountains, as they find a new "resource" for their lovemaking! And the ending is a twist that will hit you like a runaway train! You won't want to miss this one!

I am an avid reader, all kinds of books. Believe me when I tell you there is nothing that "sizzles" in this book. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO chemistry between ANY of the characters. There wasn't anything in this book that was interesting, let alone blood stirring. Nothing that feels believable. There is no "Depth" to the writing at all. No story line, no action. The dialog is so boring, I continually skipped paragraphs. HORRIBLE and COLD. You want "HOT" and "SEXCITING" pick up Lora Leigh Wild Card or Kate Pearce! Pleasurable Bargains The only reason it got 1 star was because you can't give it 0. Very disappointed spending this kind of money. :(
