Affairs of the Heart was a success from the start because of Nancy's perseverance and dedication to a profession she would soon grow to love. In 1987, she joined the Association of Bridal Consultants. In 1990, Nancy became the New Jersey State Coordinator. She resigned two years later to allow more time to teach. She began an extensive seminar program in the tri-state area that has helped many consultants begin or strengthen their businesses.
Ms. DeProspo is also one of a handful of Master Bridal Consultants, worldwide. Nancy has been interviewed by many publications, including "Bride's and Your New Home," "Modern Bride," "New Jersey Bride," "Entrepreneur," "Money," "Nikkei Woman," and "The New York Times". She is listed in "Marquis' Who's Who in the East."
Nancy sold Affairs of the Heart in August of 1992 to devote her time to writing this manual. She truly desires Bridal Consultants and Special Event Planners to gain the respectability and professionalism that more traditional occupations enjoy.
By the way, Nancy would like you to know that Picasso is listed in "Marquis' Who's Who of Animals"!

Just what I was looking for.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Affairs of the Heart : How to Start and Operate a Successful Special Event Planning Service (3-ring binder) (Spiral-bound)
Loved this guide. It was exactly what I was looking for. I had been considering the special events field for several months, but really didn't have any focus or direction. Then I found "Affairs of the Heart" on Amazon. It opened my eyes and showed me just what to do. It is filled with first hand information that the author imparts with a sometimes righteous, but always helpful attitude. The book is layed out very logically and the information is presented in laymans terms. I learned alot and hope to become as successful as the author was. Thanks, in part, to this book I will be having the GRAND OPENING of Heavenly Affairs on October 10th. I can't recommend it enough. Laurie Piscotti

a complete bomb,

This review is from: Affairs of the Heart : How to Start and Operate a Successful Special Event Planning Service (3-ring binder) (Spiral-bound)
This is not a book, just a bunch of badly photocopied sheets stuck in a cheap $1.00 ringbinder. Whats more the sheets come sealed in cellophane so you can't even flick through them to review the contents. It is outrageous that anyone can justify the price being charged. Do not waste money and time ordering this.

Disappointed,
By A Customer
This review is from: Affairs of the Heart : How to Start and Operate a Successful Special Event Planning Service (3-ring binder) (Spiral-bound)
...For $69.00 I expected more than a 3-ring binder with photocopies inside. Very unprofessional in appearance. It was of very little use to me. I spent less on a book that was thicker and more informational on another "how to" subject.
