Plies really stepped his game up with this one.

It felt like he just wanted to get something out real quick and the beats were not that hot and it was not at all the Plies your used to hearing.

I'm a Plies supporter (check earlier reviews of albums) so the quality of this release is quite disappointing. His first two albums were easily some of the best released in those years while mixing his "goon" persona in with a reflective side that surprised those people looking to detract from him. His interviews are always interesting because of how he thinks and what he says. He's very intelligent.

But as always rappers have to try and balance being successful while not alienating their fanbase. Yes Plies is quite successful, his last 3 albums have all hit the gold plateau even in these times. Truth be told he's one of the more successful, polarizing, controversial, and interesting rappers to emerge in the past 5 or 6 years.

I'm not feeling this album though. AS the cover suggests, the ignorance is cranked up to an even higher level than his previous albums. When songs like "Rob Myself" play (I listened to the song several times...what does that even mean??) you tend to just shake your head. Unlike previous albums, where some social commentary was mixed in to try to offset his adventures into craziness, this album is absent of those all together. Songs in the vein of Runnin My Momma Crazy or Worth Goin Fed Fo are nonexistent and yes it detracts from the album.

The typical Plies song about women aren't even good on this album. Good D... is just stupid, Model and Kitty Kitty ft. Trey Songz are terrible. Goonette is slightly decent. There's no Shawty, I Wanna, or Bust It Baby on this album though.

The singles Becky and Look Like ft. Young Jeezy & Fabolous are pretty good songs. She Got It Made, Bruh Bruh and Awesome are also Ipod/zune worthy.

The album as a whole is quite underwhelming.

Plies is not a good rapper plain and simple he is a gimmick rapper like Nicki Minaj or Gucci Mane. I never really liked Plies but some of his stuff caught my ear like Becky, Put It On Ya & Shawty. Sad part is my friend recommended this album to me because Plies is his favorite rapper, so I thought coo whats the worst that can happen. Every song on this album or the at least the songs I was able to tolerate were horrid. Bruh Bruh is the stupidest song Ive heard in a while (and trust Ive heard some stupid s**t lately) along with Rob Myself & Awesome. Plies is a waste of time & a waste of money, If your looking for good rap music your best bet is to wait for Rick Ross' Teflon Don, Young Jeezy's TM 103, T.I.'s King Uncaged or Kanye's Good Ass Job

First off let me say if it wasn't for my baby mama I would not even be listening to plies. But she turned me on to this man and I had to admit he was putting out some real S@@t. I'm from the streets and it felt like he was talking about my everyday life. So i was so excited to get this album, keep in mind i am deployed right now in afghanistan so you know i had to wait for a while. And let me say i was not that impressed with this album. It felt like he just wanted to get something out real quick and the beats were not that hot and it was not at all the Plies your used to hearing. He should waited a little longer and put more thought into it before he let this one get out.

The guy from Oregon really don't know what he talking about! This album is Dirty South all day long. The extra bonus tracks were definitely worth it. Plies really stepped his game up with this one. The beats are real tight and if you get mad about the lyrical content, stay away from the Dirty!
