After 5 or 6 years of wearing my hair natural, I was ready to straighten my hair again but didn't want it "bone straight." I wanted to keep some natural texture and this perm works great for that. When my hair was relaxed years before, I couldn't get it to hold a curl to save my life which is one of the reasons why I got so sick of relaxed hair. This perm is a nice midway option. After perming my hair with this product, it is very easy and less expensive to maintain than my natural hair (I spent lots of $$$ always searching for products to control and style with). I simply wash my hair, put Dabur Vatika Hair Oil 300ml (Pack of 2 Bottles) in it, and style or braid it so that it air dries. When I release my braid, my hair holds those curls for days. I don't use any blow dryers, flat irons or curling irons on my hair as I used to when my hair was relaxed before. With the help of this product, I'm very happy I went "un-natural."

Ordered this product multiple time and it works great with the conditioner and scalp care line. Would recommend it to anyone who wants straight hair and can follow the directions for timing.

I have used the Affirm Mild FiberGuard relaxer for about 2 years. It is a great product. My hair comes out straight and with a lot of body. The company was fast with shipping the product to me in Hawaii.

Although I have only used it once, I like it, but will have to wait to have a detailed opinion. My assessment of it will be completed in 12 months since I stretch my relaxers out. Thankfully, it didn't burn at all, but my hair was extremely textured to the point where it almost looked as if I never had a touch-up. FYI: I purchased normal strength. I wanted a textured look, but not this textured. On the other hand, I love the fact that this product (along with other affirm products) gives you soooo much information on it such as expiration date of product, percentage of sodium hydroxide,directions (of course), etc. As mentioned earlier, this product is packed with information and I LOVE IT since I don't have to call the company. You also get an enormous amount of relaxer, which you can share with others. So far, it is worth it.

I have not recieved the product yet but, as a retired hairstylist, I have used this product for many many years and it has always been GREAT.Only licensed operaters could get it, so I am thrilled I was able to get it through amazon. I'm hoping it is
just as good still. Thank you

I just switched back to Affirm Fiberguard after using another relaxers for a while. I've started relaxing my own hair the last few years and have slowly improved my technique and my most recent relaxer with the Fiberguard turned out excellent. My hair is just about as straight as it was when I had it relaxed in a salon. It is shiny, soft, and moveable. My hair feels in better condition than it was before I relaxed it. I use to think affirm didn't get my hair straight enough, but I just wasn't smoothing it properly after applying it. With proper application methods this stuff works great. I think using the full fiberguard relaxer line makes a difference, I know from past experience that affirm relaxers keep you hair really strong as long as you trim off split ends, use good hair products, and use heat styling protection. I'm so glad I went back to Affirm. Great job!

This is a great relaxer. It didn't leave my hair dry/ brittle. My hair is bleached also, it was safe for my hair. I would recommend this product to all my friends.

I used this product for a year and I was not happy with it. I never really saw a difference or improvement with my hair after relaxing with it. Also, I must have been allergic to the product because every time I relaxed my hair I would get a rash close to my hair line. The rash would eventually disappear but it was definitely related to the product. I would have stopped using the product had I not spent so much money on it.
