Curled Up with a Good Book
Affluence Intelligence lays out a three-month plan that leads to achievement of lofty goals, recognizing and living priorities, and enjoying a greater sense of possibility…Goldbart and Difuria have turned what sometimes seems an insurmountable obstacle into an enjoyable adventure. Affluence Intelligence helps readers get a grip on the worry and anxiety and transform fear into power. The program outlined here is concrete and perhaps revolutionary, with the potential to redirect an ages-old but dead-end paradigm into a satisfying and productive road trip to a worthy and fulfilling destination.”

Publishers Weekly, 11/7/11
“Readers will find this to be a refreshing take on personal finance, psychology, and self-help.”

San Francisco Book Review/Sacramento Book Review, 11/3/11
“Because the writing and the examples are approachable, especially during the current economic climate, Affluence Intelligence is a thorough tool that can help bring balance, focus, and perhaps happiness, instead of financial worries.”

Midwest Book Review, January 2012
“Recommended for any inspirational collection.”

Success, March 2012
“By addressing the psychology and practice of money management, Affluence Intelligence will help you assess your level of prosperity and create a plan for acquiring the kind of financial and emotional wealth you desire.”

I am a self confessed workaholic; I run two family businesses that are both struggling to survive. I was giving the best years of my life, not getting a sufficient return on investment, given the incredible amount of my time and money. After reading this book, I realized that old family loyalties (that few in my family actually care about) should not trump the quality of my life. So I decided to sell one of the companies, keeping the business that I truly enjoy and giving back precious time for myself and my family. This book is much more than `just another finance book', for me, it was a quite a revelation to learn how to cope with stressful financial and emotional situations

It is rare to find a book that combines such seemingly unrelated threads--spiritual and psychological well being, philosophical insight AND financial wisdom and understanding into a piece that generates clarity, insight, and a practical, concrete method for achieving balance, prosperity, and happiness in one's life. That's exactly what Affluence Intelligence succeeds in doing. I was struck not only by the wisdom relayed in this unique book, but by its clarity. Prosperity--affluence--is not just a matter of having a lot of money; it's the result of a deep understanding of what makes life meaningful for each individual. Sure, you have to have a certain level of income--but more importantly, you have to have your priorities clear. After working with the 1%, Goldbart and Difuria have been able to isolate those conditions that lead to true "affluence." They set forth five clear priorities--from prosperity to people to passion--and then use these as a way to let the reader evaluate his or her own life goals. The Affluence Intelligence quiz further helps to clarify these ideas--a simple, remarkably helpful self assessment that helped me to deepen my understanding of myself, my priorities, my money issues. And, then, there is a concrete plan to enact these revelations. This is truly a special book that I believe can change your life.

In these times of financial disruption, finding a path to emotional safety is mission critical. Difuria and Goldbart's book, Affluence Intelligence, provides an excellent path toward it. Following their assessment and guideline strategies your probability of achieving greater emotional wealth is strengthened. And, with that basic foundation secured, economic well being is much more likely to follow. This is a good book and a fine investment.

This is more like a work book than just a fun read. It really makes you think and helps you figure out if you want to change how you think. The examples of real people gives it a nice flowing touch.

This is the first book about finances and the handling of monies that I was totally absorbed in and didn't find myself either lost or falling asleep. It is relatable and I could easily place my personal story and situation in connection to the valuable information and practical advice. The book left me satisfied and filled with useful tools and ways to think about the future. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take hold of a new and better way to think about a life in relationship to what is really important!
