As the title says, these are modest plans. The book has a pretty good variety of realistic home plans that have a lot of layout potential. We bought this to get ideas in designing our own home, and we were able to find a couple plans to base our design off of. The plans are not elaborate, and you're not likely to find uncommon features like turrets or other unusual designs, but this book is targeted at people who want a custom home with a layout that doesn't break the bank. The designs are broken down by type (ranch, two story, multi-level, etc.) for easy narrowing down, and are fairly easy to view.
While it isn't breaking any new ground in the world of architecture, it serves its purpose and is a fairly helpful idea book. |
