This book is a good idea book for people thinking about building a new home in 2012. Written in 1984 you might think it is dated, but south is still south and the sun is still the only secure energy source on this planet. Richard Crowther (1910 - 2006 ) was an architect who has written 3 books on passive solar living.The book is divided into two parts: Design Considerations ( financing, site analysis, materials, & design ). And Part 2 Home Designs - Floor Plans. If you are on a budget, a survivalist, or you just want to live in a sustainable way, Affordable Passive Solar Homes is a good addition to your library of simple living. |
