Honest, and sometimes painfully so, Pente tells the story of what it is like to be on the front lines in war. Drop dead (well not literally!) humor cracked me up as he strove to keep a sane head in the midst of insanity. A good read and easy with his one on one approach. I admired his leadership qualities that required much strength and caring with his men. The descriptions of landscape were beautiful taking the reader right with him. I wait impatiently for his next book!
