4.0 out of 5 stars From the Ethnographic Museum., September 6, 2006

This review is from: Africa Art and Culture: Ethnological Museum, Berlin (Hardcover)
A large heavy book with lots of nice pictures. A survey of art from central and western Africa in the Berlin Ethnographic Museum. Some works were stolen, some purchased. It goes into some details about the meanings behind the symbols and the cultures who created them. The meanings of some symbols have been lost, but it's still a good introduction to the region.
