Too frightening for a young children.,

I bought this book for my two year old son, and though it is beautifully illustrated and has a nice message, the illustrations are quite frightening. I don't believe this book is appropriate for my young child. I have shelved it and will save it for when he's older - possibly after 4 years old.

In this enchanting story, an African-American girl dreams of returning to Africa. She dreams of going into a marketplace, doing African things, and finally, returning to Africa to see her long-ago granddaddy.
