An Africa Notebook,

This book introduces the reader to the trials and tribulations of living in Africa. It is filled with anecdotes about the people connected with the "hotel" in which the author stayed. Comments the author made about the people were generally colorful and interesting. However, when the author wrote about the politics and travel headaches, it sounded like complaining and did not make me want to read on. In addition, the publishing was not very professional (several pages were not cut correctly and the text revealed some grammatical errors and lapses in editing). Overall, I would give it a lukewarm recommendation.
