5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource and excellent gift idea
Great book of recipes and tips on entertaining for the holidays. But, what makes this book extra special are the personal stories by individuals recounting their most memorable tales and favorite holiday traditions. A great gift idea for someone who loves holiday food and entertaining!

I have this book and found it very interesting. Ms Broussard makes you feel like you are part of her family when she talks about the traditions they celebrate for the holidays. Her story line made me feel like I know this family and can celebrate with them.

African American Celebrations And Holiday Traditions
African American Celebrations And Holiday Traditions - is well written and very interesting and informative reading. I especially enjoyed the creative, practical, and very doable ideas which resulted in fun and memorable holiday celebrations. Additionally, I took pleasure in reading about the numerous well known (famous) African Americans and how they celebrate holidays. Many of the family celebrations depicted extraordinary festivities using new and unique ideas combined with old Afro-American traditions. These memorable holiday galas and family gathering have been and probably will continue to be carried on by other generations for years to come. It was also noted that creative decorating ideas, recipes, etc. included in the book can be used to enhance our own family gatherings and holiday celebrations. I enjoyed this book (both narrative and photos) immensely and often give it as a gift to family, friends. I give this book five Stars ***** Kudos to the author for a fine product, well done!!!
