I really enjoyed reading this book because of the combination of romance and historical details. The author provides the readers with so much more than the typical romance story.

Far from the stereotypical images of the African American family in modern society, this book explores the world of members of an upper middle class Los Angeles family, who happen to be Black.

Its flawless attention to detail, riveting storyline and excellent love theme make it a sure hit. I literally read it in the bathtub, snuck it at work and let the phone pick up my messages while I finished African American Heiress.

Angela De Mola-Marcano's "African American Heiress" is a real achievment in the romance novel genre. Her well-researched book gives one a rare view of Los Angeles in the 1970's and 80's while also telling a very romantic story.

This author is very talented at drawing characters one quickly relates to and cares about. Overall this novel made me feel both nostolgic and very romantic. Read it and see.
