This is a collection of twelve tracks, each by a different African musical artist. There's a lot of variety, but the overall tone of the set is a bit mystical and very emotional. The high points are very high, especially (in my opinion) the first two tracks by Papa Wemba and Lokua Kanza, both of which feature some of the sweetest backing vocals you're likely to hear.

As a whole the collection is a bit uneven, but the highlights make it worth tracking down. Recommended.
