One of the songs - Hapa Duniani - is used at Walt Disney World's Kilimanjaro Safari attraction. That was my initial reason for buying the CD, but it turns out that all the music on here was really fun.

Have you ever heard the introduction music to the Disney movie 'THe Lion King'?
Well, African Dawn is kind of like that. It is mostly African acapella music. This cd could also be considered new age since it is not pure African accappela music like the famous group Ladysmith Black Mambazo albeit this cd coud be compared to what they do as well.
This is cd is 5 stars. If you enjoyed the intro to the movie I just mentioned than this is cd is it.

Very moving, uplifting, tranquil, peaceful. All of the above and more. I bought the cassette a few years ago and played it so much, my tape snapped this morning. Now I'm looking for the CD.

If you loved the music from the Lion King, then you will certainly enjoy African Dawn. Close your eyes, try not to move(impossible) and visit Africa if only in your mind. The music is full of life, with passion and a beat that will make you smile.

African Dawn is a collection of African songs that are a pleasure to the soul to experience. It is too bad that this CD is currently out of print, which must discourage many people who would love to listen to it. Highly recommended to anyone who loves music!

Very upbeat, authentic and enjoyable... great voices and selections. Hapa Duniani is our favorite... It's a tune featured at Disney's Animal Kingdom on the Kilimanjaro Safaris.
