5.0 out of 5 stars Thorough research on a popular subject
Jordan and Pattison really dig deep into what makes these birds tick! I was impressed by the sheer number of parrots that were covered throughout. A must read for anyone interested in the African species.

I was disappointed, as obviously the authors were breeding these parrots to be sold as pets, and must've had some knowledge of keeping them as companion animals.

I was hoping that since the authors have exclusively bred African parrots that they could provide deep insight into these species (poicephalus, in particular), which don't get as much attention in other books. Instead, I learned very little from the best possible source out there.
