Absorbing - I couldn't put it down,

This review is from: African Rooster (Kindle Edition)
African Rooster is a great read. It's a story of complex characters and layered plots where right and wrong is not black & white. It is a story of friendship, loyalty and privilege. Jed, the main character, has come from the U.S. to escape some trouble, only to find that he's created more than he could have ever imagined. Lesotho and South Africa--the countries where the story takes place--are fascinating and well-drawn. But it is Jed, who is both likable and despicable, and his struggle to rescue his host-brother that keep you interested. This is definitely one of those page-turners that will keep you up late. Christian Lybrook is a good writer and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next!

African Rooster was a book that I never heard of, but sounded interesting. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. The storyline was unique and attention-grabbing. I finished the book in a few days, having a hard time putting it down.
