Maybe its just me...but I expect to get the product that is advertised. I received Brownings African Safari instead of what is advertised in the picture above, Cabelas African Safari. So unless you enjoy receiving the incorrect item, steer clear of this.

The Browning African Safari Cd-Rom Game

"If you loved The Hunting Game and other hunting products by Oquirrh then you'll love this." - Virtual Outdoorsman Review

"It is a most realistic hunting game and greatly enjoyed by all who have played it." - Otelia Williams - Owner of Dewbridge Safaris - South Africa

Who's Hunting Who?

You line up your sights on an impala. It's a great shot but... the cape buffalo behind you is startled by your gunfire. You suffer the same fate as the impala.

Bar none, flat out, whatever......this is the most intriguing, fun and addictive hunting game ever developed. The trademark of a truly great game shows thru when one spends considerable time thinking strategy and what you'll do differently the next time you're able to set aside the time to play the game again. This will certainly happen to anyone who takes up the Browning African Safari challenge.

Bowhunting for Lion. One shot, loser leaves town.

The Browning African Safari Game is the first Cd-Rom using "Hunter Surround Vision", a true 360o format where you literally must "watch your back". If one is not careful, you can be taken out of this game by a predator sneaking up from behind or an animal you have wounded or one you've just plain ticked off. There will be times when it is better to get the heck out of there, to choose NOT to challenge the likes of a charging lion, rhino, crocodile or cape buffalo. Unlike some hunting game titles, very specific kill zones for each animal must be hit in order to bring that animal down. These zones might not be available during an animal's charge. Oddly enough, the hunting guide you've chosen to help protect you, never seems to be the one that gets killed.

The Browning African Safari Game is not a gory, blood and guts type game. This game is challenging, appropriate and very enjoyable for kids and adults alike, ages 8 and up.

White Rhino vs. 458 - The odds depend on your accuracy.

There's very realistic hunting for both dangerous and non-dangerous animals indigenous to the African landscape. Hunt with Bow or Rifle in seven real, filmed on location in Africa sites for Lion, Rhino, Zebra, Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Cape Buffalo and Crocodile. The 360 degree photography and authentic African soundtrack are simply outstanding. Enjoy many, many hours of African Hunting from this innovative and extremely challenging game.

Do not underestimate the crocodiles.

Minimum System Requirements: IBM Compatible with Windows 95,98 or ME 2X CD-ROM, 8MB RAM, 2MB Free Hard Drive Space, 1MB SVGA Video Card, 16 Bit Soundcard and Speakers, Mouse (Not XP Compatible)
